NW Angle Travelers Have a New Option for Travel to the NW Angle
There is now an alternative way for MN residents to cross the U.S. border on their way to the NW Angle.
St. Paul, MN - Minnesota has joined four other border states in offering its residents enhanced drivers's licenses that can be used as passports for crossing U.S. borders, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said today.
"Before 9/11, you needed just a driver's license or a birth certificate," said CBP spokesman Brian King. "After 9/11, we required a passport to prove citizenship. An EDL also now proves citizenship, in lieu of a passport.
"It's a good deal for people who don't cross the border very often. It's less expensive, too."

A tradition up at Lake of the Woods are the fish frys. Come up and experience world class fishing "just like the good old days" and celebrate after with a great meal of fresh walleyes and sauger.
Some groups use the fish cleaning houses at the resort they are staying at to clean their catch. Others let the guides do the cleaning.
As far as the fish fry, cook your own in your cabin or have a resort cook them for you. Many resorts will cook up your fresh catch with all the sides we have come to love with a fish fry. Click Here
