Today (March 22) MWC was notified of a local club event on the Detroit River April 8-9 (one day of overlap with MWC on Saturday's final day)
Some local teams are asking if they can weigh-in with MWC on Saturday and then go weigh-in at their local event up river 6-8 minutes away AFTER they weigh in with MWC. We are always happy to work with local walleye groups where we can. Following our rules this is allowed but there are some stipulations so everyone is clear.
1.) Be advised you MUST weigh in with MWC first as our rules do NOT allow you to get out of the boat nor communicate with others during MWC tournament hours.
2.) We cannot adjust flight times NOR "bump" these teams to the front of the line to facilitate them weighing in "first." As always all starting numbers and weigh in flights are done by computer random draw as they will be here. IF a team decides to come in before their official flight time that is their choice and happens all the time. Weigh in will take place once the scales are open at the published weigh-in times.
3.) Tournament leaders and top finishers are expected to be present to talk to media for interviews and at the end of the MWC weigh in for pictures and awards.
