Girls Gone Fishing tournament results

The Girls Gone Fishing fishing tournament took place this past Saturday at River Bend Resort. It was a beautiful day to be out on the water with a rod in your hand. 33 teams entered the tournament this year. Teams consisted of 2 female anglers with a male guide if desired. The woman really showed the men what they were made of. For back-to-back first place titles the team of Heather and Wyann Janousek came in with a weight of 13.8 lbs and payout of $1,000. Second place went to Carol Hammer and Linda Anderson with a weight of 12.40 lbs and a payout of $600. Rounding out the top three with a weight of 11.82 lbs and a payout of $250 was Jamie Thompson and Megan Hanson. Awards and door prizes were handed out after fishing along with a meal. The largest fish caught Saturday was 30.5 inches long and 10.5 lbs by Vicki Thompson. River Bend Resort would like to thank everyone who came out for the tournament and to all the sponsers who made this day possible.
