DALLAS, TEXAS – Suntex Marinas, an owner and operator of marina properties, announced today it will hold a very special fundraising event beginning this Independence Day weekend extending into July to support the Folds of Honor Foundation in their mission to provide scholarships to the families of fallen and wounded soldiers.
During the month of July, 3 percent of all marina store sales at Suntex’s 29 locations across the country will be donated to Folds of Honor.

Each marina location will ask their guests to contribute, and many will hold independent events for their customers and community, including cookouts, raffles, “Dogs for Donations” and “Putting for Patriots.” This is a continuation of the four-year partnership between Suntex and Folds of Honor that has evolved into a million-dollar fund-raising initiative.

Since 2007, Folds of Honor has worked to support the nearly nine out of ten military spouses and children who do not qualify for federal scholarships. More than one million dependents have been financially affected by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“This event is a celebration not only of patriotism and values, but also of giving back to those who have sacrificed so much for our country,” said Johnny Powers, CEO of Suntex.
All Suntex employees will show their commitment to Folds of Honor, by wearing gear supportive of this cause. Suntex marine store locations across the nation will be having t-shirts for purchase, with all profits going directly to Folds of Honor. To find Suntex marina locations, visit suntex.com.
