Third Time's A Charm For Bujarski Brothers

When Lindy team members Mike and Mark Bujarski waited to weigh in on the final day of the Minnesota Tournament Trail championship on September 18 they had much more riding on the results than most teams.
Brothers Mark and Mike Bujarski claimed 2009 Lindy Team of the Year honors on the Minnesota Tournament Trail.

For the third straight year, the brothers from Clear Lake, Minnesota, had taken the Minnesota Tournament Trail "Lindy Team of the Year" race to the final day of the season. In 2007 the Bujarski brothers finished third; in 2008, they finished second. This time around things looked just as close, thanks to the summer-like weather in September that had fueled the best bite Lake of the Woods has seen in years, making big baskets the norm.

When the weigh-in process drew to a close and the points were added up after the last of 74 teams weighed in, this time Mike and Mark Bujarski finished on top of the "Team of the Year" standings by a slim 21-point margin.

The key to their 2009 "Lindy Team of the Year" title came in the form of consistent quality finishes throughout the season, which included a victory at Lake Winnibigoshish in July and solid five-fish limits both days at the championship. Throughout the season, the brothers relied heavily on Lindy products.

Lindy's Jon Thelen was on hand to present the "Lindy Team of the Year" award which included plaques, two Beckman nets and a $3,500 cash award.

It was also announced that Lindy Fishing Tackle will again support the Minnesota Tournament Trail in 2010 as title sponsor of the "Lindy Team of the Year" award.
