I assume the snap on boat cover that came with my used 1700 Esox can't be used while trailering the boat down the highway,is that indeed true?

That's an 'aftermarket' cover, so it's a tough call.

I trailer my 1700 with the aftermarket snap cover on. My brother in law had it up close to 100 mph once with the cover on. Never had an issue.

I had a snap on cover on my last 1890 and it trailered fine, so I suppose it depends on who made it
