Pre-event article from AIM: The quest for the Championship will begin this Saturday for anglers fishing the AIM Weekend Walleye Series (AWWS) Wisconsin Divisional State "Alumacraft Championship". The venue for this two day event is the sprawling waters of the Bay of Green Bay and fifty qualified teams will stream out of the City of Oconto's Breakwater Park & Harbor looking for the key bites to claim a new Alumacraft boat and Yamaha engine.

The West winds seem to have cleared up the water where the leaders are fishing according to an AIM interview this morning. The leaders switched from Jigging to trolling today.
It's going to be sunny on the Bay today with West winds at 9 forecast. Yesterday's bigger winds have already mixed it up as much as was going to occur, and a West wind at 9 to won't be too much of an issue for rough seas, but could work up enough to be tough out there. yet should be enough to keep the bite intact.
The AIM video links back to Facebook from the website, so it's faster to access the action here . Download the on-the-water video with Tommy Kemos for a few moments before viewing for the best experience.

Correction, it's 5 for the WWS and 7 for the Pro Series.
12) SCORING:
At the completion of the tournament day, each Team will select FIVE (5) fish to be counted towards their daily weight and designate these fish on the AIM Official Scorecard. Then each Team will convert the lengths of each of the FIVE designated fish to weight using a standardized AIM Length-to-Weight Conversion Chart. The SUM of these FIVE fish will be the Teams unofficial total weight for the day.
The winds are up a bit and swinging to slightly SW. It's probably a little more bumpy out there now...

I pretty sure I heard 5 fish weight. That is why Lewis had his limit at 5 fish if you paid attention to the videos. Looks like Lewis has this one in the bag watching the videos. Good Luck.

As far as I can tell, there are no official results posted yet. I stayed up until 12:30 last night waiting, must be a glitch of some kind.
It appears a few tournament organizations are using Facebook as the focus of the coverage. Generally social media is added to a main coverage medium, certainly not the other way around. Interesting experiment, but engagement may not have been effective based upon total fans for the page/total likes/posts to the pages if one looks at it objectively for each event.
How many outdoors sports 'fans' folks go to Facebook for sports coverage? I'm more likely to go to social media to comment on a game or event after looking up results on the official website than the other way around. Interesting experiment, but if I was just a casual fan, after the 10th update in a few hours I'd 'unlike' the page until the event was over. Not to mention the disconnect between fishermen who may be interested in an event like this who use Facebook every day as a news source and those who do not. The main issue is the fact folks usually don't go to a Facebook page for news, they 'like' the page so the information shows up on their timeline. We can generate 2000 video views on one of the pages we place content to, and that same day there MAY be 25 visits to the page..
