"January 6th., Little Bay de Noc Ice updates,"

This morning looking out the office window and seeing a blanket of heavy fog/mist across the Bay. Conditions like this and always use caution on the ice, tools having with you should include compass, hand-held gps. and letting people somewhat knowing your location.
Bites throughout the last several days and hearing mixed reports on Walleye although anglers icing some eaters along with some larger fish. Baits; jigging Rap's;(clown, perch, "glow" red, blue, greens tigers) Bay de Noc Pimples; (gold and silvers) Northland Buckshot Rattle spoons; (silver, gold shiner, Super-Glo; chub, perch and rainbow) also running tip-ups using larger 4 to 6 inch shiners and suckers fished off bottom to suspended.
Best depths and been seeing as shallow 5 to 30 feet of water.

Perch fishing reports a bit spotty but nice ones being caught; tear drops, plain hook/split shot minnow and wax worm tipped.
Deeper waters seeing best action.

Northern Pike action steady as hearing anglers and spearers seeing and catching some good average size fish.

Our catches in the past several days with clients fair. Seeing lots of fish on the electronics and also having those hooked fish come off at the ice hole, but it happens.
All in all fun!
Client Chris Dinkel and his good friend Tim from Grand Rapids, Michigan with past several days had a great time with several small walleye, couple of nice pike and also a really nice 29 inch, 11 pound walleye. Water depth and 26 feet of water and mud.

Keep in touch anglers, we'll be back on the water this afternoon.
