Member Posts: 6 | I am looking for input for what everyone considers to be the best Deep Cycle battery to use on a 24 V system. Any help is appreciated.

Member Posts: 10 | I agree, Trojan batteries are awsome! You might want to check out their agm--absorbed glass mat for the simplicity of maintanence and they do not leak. go with group 27's all around including starting battery.

I've been using Trojan batteries with Thermoil added to them at the SBS. Work GREAT!!

I have been using the Group 31 Optima Blue tops since 2003 with absolutely no problems. They have performed flawlessly in temps from 0 to 110 degrees. I have never run short of power on a tournament day. The Blue tops charge quicker than any battery I have used. As far as durability, you will probably hurt yourself trying to break one. Optima Batteries are a spiralcelled absorbed glass mat battery. They are sealed units. No more green terminals. No more burning fingers when you are in the battery compartments. This means better performance of all your electronics. By the way, the boat I fished out of in 03 still has the original Optima's in it. Kemos

Member Posts: 5 | I am not meaning to step into this thread but I was curious what thermoil is and is it something I can put in my Trojan battery now that it has been used for a year?
