Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | #1. The very first Walleye that hits and you land, has a tag in its mouth and is pushing 9 pounds.
#2. The very next Walleye that hits and you land, is the BIGGER/OLDER BROTHER to the first walleye you landed.
#3. And finally, when after 15 or so fish you find it hard to cull out 5 walleyes under 5 pounds for your moocher brother.
That's a great day.

| I've had that happen before on Sturgeon Bay. The whole trip never caught anything under 7.5 lbs. in 5 days of fishing. Can't forget them day's!!! |

Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | DNR Trawl surveys results are showing Saginaw bay is just now starting to develope a problem with having more preditors compared to the available prey. So much so, they are thinking of lowering the keeper length sizes and raising the limit amounts. In the last 15 years or so, I've turned into a C & R man with any walleye over 4 pounds. But know the fishery needs and won't be hurt by more people keeping their limits rather big or small. Still tough for me to do.
