I've fished Lake Erie several times during the late 70'/early 80's. My mother ran Phil's INN, in Port Clinton for years. But only in the last 10 years or so, have I fished in Huron on 2 occasions. But both times came away with huge walleye and people friendly memories, that even surpass some of my early days fishing the Saginaw Bay and Tittabawassee River. And believe me, those early trips included same real tonnage of monsters.

But walleyes of this (Zander) size and constant, glorious Caliber, keeps Huron on the top rung of the huge walleye destination latter. This 15 pounder was caught by my buddy Rob Stratton. 12/15/2014.
