Location: LaCrosse, WI | Well, we're finally going to get this thing started. Here's what we're looking to accomplish.
We’re looking to start a non-profit club to promote the sport of Walleye fishing and provide an educational resource for local anglers. We plan to host events such as club outings, club tournaments (which we hope will qualify some teams to the Cabelas NTC), have guest speakers at monthly meetings, help with local tournaments, and provide a place for members to interact.
There will be a small annual membership fee to fish the club tournaments ($25 per year, to help with costs of running the tournaments), which will also include some sort of club gear, whether it’s a patch or a hat or whatever we vote on. We will have elected representatives for the club, and try to participate in as many local events as possible.
Another thing we hope to accomplish, is to showcase some local waters including the Mississippi, Petenwell, Castle Rock, the Wisconsin River etc… We also hope to get groups together for farther trips such as a big ice fishing trip to Red Lake or Lake of the Woods, and a early summer trip to Green Bay or Winnebago. We’ll be having our first meeting in December to decide what direction we want to go with this club.
I’ll post the exact date and time as we get something set up. Anyone interested is welcome to attend the meeting. We don’t want to limit our club based on any certain location or experience level. We want everybody to get something out of this.
Thank You,
Marshall Wuensch |
