My buddy is looking at getting a new boat without spending 25+k on a new rig. He loves the look of the Ranger 185vs, but I've always been a Lund/Crestliner/Alumacraft style boat guy for walleyes and big water and told him it might sit too low. I know the Ranger 620vs is an awesome big water boat, but haven't heard much about the 185vs in that aspect. Has anybody ever fished big water in a 185vs? I'm not talking about dead calm days either. Does it sit too low in the water to take on Devils Lake in ND or big water in MN? Any input would be great, thanks!

In my opinion the 185 is not a good choice for big water.
