| I just started fishing Winnebago's walleyes last June. Incredible fishery.
With the well-known Wolf River run... how good is the ice-out walleye bite on Lake Winnebago? They ALL can't run up the river, right? |

Location: Menasha, WI | Yes, many walleyes stay in the lake and spawn. However, they are very elusive. The water tends to be very, very clear for the first weeks after ice out and the walleyes will be in shallow only at night. From about first week in May through early June there's usually a good shallow water bite right at dusk. Might be a little later this year with late spring. |

| Thanks Viking. I live only a few miles from the Wolf River near Shiocton.... but I think once we get some warm weather I'll launch the boat on Bago and find some QUIET water away from the crowds. I'm sure my boys would enjoy an evening bite after school.
Do the walleyes spawn on any of the man made reefs put in by Walleyes for Tomorrow? Seems most are shoreline related.... |

Location: Menasha, WI | I can't give you a good answer. Most of the man-made reefs are on the east side. I live on the west side so I don't fish that side of the lake very much. |
