New User Posts: 3 | Hi guys Just wondering is there any walleye boats out there that will touch 70mph with a 300 XS and jack plate ? Fibreglass or aluminum. I have been doing a lot of research. I have read the yar craft 209s are fast. 65ish. Is that the quickest out there? Edited by Raptor 5/20/2015 8:53 PM

New User Posts: 3 | I love the multi species style since I do a lot of trolling for muskie in the fall. But I have been doing more and more bass tournaments in the spring and summer and want all the extra speed I can get. Hoping for lots of input. Thx

I would think you could maybe hit 70 with a 300 pro xs and the right prop. For that kind of speed, you'll likely have to give up some hole shot to pick up top end though. You'll also need to find a fast hull. I know guys get around 60 with a 200 on the 1890 Tuffys, and can get around 60 with a 2060 and a 225 opti. It's feasable, and I'm sure there are guys who've done it. Hell I wish I got 45, but then again I just run a little 125 opti on a tin boat with a kicker etc...

Member Posts: 11 | Back in the day...Gary Grey had a Yar Craft that would do 72 MPH.I watched him smoke past me like I was standing still while I was going 62MPH in my 1990 Tuffy at the time.He just laughed....

New User Posts: 3 | Wow. 72 would be sweet. I find all the 18 and 19 footers are rated for 200s and can hit 55. Max 60. And then when you move up to the next bigger size boats rated for the 250s and 300s you are still stuck In that 55-60 range. I have an 1850 raptor with a 150 four stroke that will hit 50 if the conditions are perfect. I am thinking itwould go 55 with a 200hp I was considering trying a 250xs on it even tho it's only rated for a 200. The 200 and the 250 are the exact same weight. But I would still probably on get low 60s. Maybe 65 with a jack plate. It would be nice to have something legal that would do 70 no problem. Two boats just won't fly In my house hold. Location: Rhinelander | 70 is tough to reach in a fully loaded walleye Deep V ride. I'd love to have a deep V boat that cracks 70 MPH....

I'd love to have a deep V boat that cracks 70 MPH.... Steve or anybody else. I'm 6'2" tall and weigh roughly 335 during the winter moths. So if I flipped my boat doing 70 MPH and was tossed out. Would I skip 2 or 3 times on the surface in flat water conditions, before coming to rest in a heap of floating, broken fat? Edited by walleye express 5/25/2015 9:59 AM
