| VERY IMPORTANT MEETING. Next Tuesday there will be a Whitefish Commercial Harvest Meeting in Green Bay. One on Wed. in Sturgeon Bay. They are from 6-8 PM. The commercial fishing group is pushing very hard for the right to commercially harvest WALLEYE ON GREEN BAY. This is getting a bit of traction from the Madison Crowd that makes such decisions legal. That is Legislators, the Governor and others.
The only reason for this meeting is the last round had around 160 written comments with some 90% being opposed to increased commercial fishing for Whitefish. Sport fishing groups need to INCREASE THE LEVEL OF NON SUPPORT. Presence at these meetings is of utmost importance. Public presence and comments will make all the difference on this topic.
