Keller and Keller Win Second Day of WI - UP Team Challenge on Lake Winnebago
Oshkosh,WI - The Father and Son team of Brian and James Keller won the second day of back-to-back World Walleye Association WI/UP Team Challenge tournaments held on Lake Winnebago Sunday, June 6th.

On a second day with perfect fishing weather, Brian and James Keller made adjustments to their strategy used the day before which got them an 18th place finish to top the field on Sunday with an impressive 19.75 pound five fish limit.

Second place went to long time WWA WI/UP anglers, Dave Hopp and Bob Cook, with a five fish, 18.86 pound basket.

Finishing third was the reigning WWA National Champions, Father and Son team Bill and Matt Bobber with a weight of 18.26-pounds.

Big fish of the event was caught by the 2003 WI/UP Team of the Year Ryan Zander and Scott Hittman which weighed 6.93-pounds.

As on Saturday, the tactics used to catch the winning weights were hard to come by with other national tournaments coming in the following weeks, but trolling the main lake and jigging weed beds were among some of the information given out.

Ramge and Literski Win 1st Day WI - UP Team Challenge on Winnebago
OSHKOSH, WI - Mark Ramge and Cary Literski won the first of back-to-back one-day tournaments in the World Walleye Association WI/UP Team Challenge division held on Saturday, June 5 2004.

After more than a month since the last WI/UP Team Challenge event, all the anglers were more than ready to get back at it and Ramge and Literski proved so by catching an impressive 22.28-pound, five fish limit which topped the field of fifty-one teams and won the team $2,010.

Pat Schuette and Mark Piper took second place with a five fish limit weighing 19.47-pounds

John Geiger and Dale Howard placed third with a five fish limit weighing 18.73-pounds.

Jimmy Hughes and Tim Winchester caught the big fish of the tournament, which weighed 6.89-pounds putting them in tenth place.

Since many of the anglers fishing in this event are going to be fishing the next of the back to back events on Sunday, June 6th, many of the top finishing anglers were very tight lipped about techniques and locations, but of those that did talk it seemed clear that fish are plentiful throughout the system and just about any technique or location you tried would produce fish. The question was would they be the right fish.

For Mark Ramge and Cary Literski they definitely had the right fish.
