Burkert and Fohlbrook Win WWA MI Team Challenge Two-Day on Muskegon Lake
Muskegon, MI - Paul Burkert and Mark Fohlbrook won top honors at the World Walleye Association Michigan Team Challenge two-day qualifying event held on Muskegon Lake August 14th and 15th.

Though it was an extremely tough bite despite the excellent weather conditions, Burkert and Fohlbrook hung in there and caught 11.28-pounds to give them the win.

Chris Reinhold and Gary Pastor took second place with 9.94-pounds which included the big fish of day one weighing 7.46-pounds.

Brian Stroven and Dean Evans placed third with a total weight of 8.95-pounds. Their basket included the big fish of day two weighing 3.72-pounds.

The top finishing teams all were trolling crawler harnesses in the Green Creek area.

WWA Michigan Team Challenge to Finish Season at Muskegon Lake
Fond Du Lac, WI - The final qualifying event for the World Walleye Association Michigan Team Challenge will be a two day event to be held on Muskegon Lake Saturday, August 14th and Sunday August 15th.

This event will not only determine championship qualifying teams but also the Michigan Team Challenge Team of the Year.

The registration will be Friday August 13th from 6:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. and Saturday August 14th from 5:00 A.M.- 5:30 A.M. with the rules meeting to follow at 5:40 A.M. at Fisherman�s Landing.

The Official weigh in site is at the Fisherman's Landing boat ramp.

Tournament hours are from 6:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.

The WWA is a friendly, fun, and affordable way to participate in the competitive world of walleye fishing. Extensive media coverage of tournament results can be found on www.walleyefirst.com and www.worldwalleye.com along with coverage in the Badger Sportsman Magazine, the official publication of the WWA. Subscriptions to the Badger Sportsmen are included when anglers become members of the WWA.

The WWA also offers a National Championship at the end of the year for qualifying teams.
