Rasmussen and Mueller Make Long Run Pay Off to Win WWA at Green Bay

Green Bay, WI - Adam Rasmussen and Ben Mueller turned an hour long drive in rough, windy and all around miserable conditions pay off for them by winning the World Walleye Association Wisconsin Team Challenge Green Bay event held out of the Metro Boat Landing Sunday May 15th.

Rasmussen and Mueller ran approximately an hour north of Green Bay to the Oconto area where they trolled with crawler harnesses in 10 feet of water to catch their four fish limit of 25.84-pounds winning them a check for $1,375.

Jim Tiemann and Debbie Ojala placed second in the event by a mere .01 of apound with a weight of 25.83-pounds for four fish. Tiemann and Ojala made upfor just missing the win by catching the big fish of the tournament which weighed 7.76-pounds.

Tom Techlin and Jysen Freund took third place honors with a four fish limit weighing 20.07-pounds.

The second and third place finishers also fished the Oconto area trolling crawler harnesses.

WWA Wisconsin Team Challenge Second Stop to be Green Bay
Fond Du Lac, WI - � The second stop for anglers in the World Walleye Association Wisconsin Team Challenge will be one of the favorite places among the Wisconsin WWA anglers, Green Bay, Sunday May 15th. This fishery proves time and again that it is one of the best walleye factories in the country and from past experience it may take 30 + pounds just to cash a check!

The first event of the season in the Wisconsin Team Challenge was held on the Petenwell Flowage and was won by Jimmie Hughes and Randy Harwood.

Sign in and rules meeting will be held on Sunday May 15th at the Metro Boat Ramp in Green Bay. Sign in will be from 5:30-6:30 A.M. with the rules meeting at 6:30 A.M. One member of each team must attend the rules meeting.

Tournament hours are from 7:00 A.M. � 3:00P.M.

Boundaries will be Wisconsin waters of Green Bay to the tip of Door County. In the event of inclement weather boundaries may restrict anglers to the lower bay and the river.

The weigh in limit is four fish over 15 inches.
