Bass Pro Shops to host “Outdoor Days” events throughout Missouri to connect kids and families to nature

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – To celebrate the great outdoors and host activities designed for all levels of outdoor enthusiasts, Bass Pro Shops is proudly announcing the return of its 10th Annual Outdoor Days. Hosted across Missouri throughout the late spring and summer months, Outdoor Days offers engaging activities designed to introduce nature to new audiences including family-friendly opportunities to learn about outdoor skills, conservation and experience outdoor adventures.

Participants at Outdoor Days get to experience a variety of engaging experiences including kayaking, canoeing, fishing, archery, rock climbing, outdoor cooking, live animal encounters and much more.
Dates and locations for 2017 Bass Pro Shops Outdoor Days include:
June 3: Missouri Capitol Complex in Jefferson City, Mo. (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
June 10: Finley River Park in Ozark, Mo. (2-8 p.m.)
August 12: Waterfall Park in Kansas City, Mo. (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
August 26: Frontier Park in St. Charles, Mo. (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
September 9-10: Table Rock State Park in Branson, Mo. (camping opportunities available)
“Outdoor Days is a great way for families to discover fun new ways to get out and enjoy nature, making their outdoor experiences much more meaningful,” said Martin MacDonald, director of conservation for Bass Pro Shops. “Last year 40,000 kids and families participated in Outdoor Days and we’re excited to continue connecting people to the outdoors and creating the next generation of outdoor advocates.”
Bass Pro Shops Outdoor Days are coordinated in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Missouri Department of Conservation, Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Missouri State Parks and a host of local conservation and water quality organizations. Activities offered during Outdoor Days vary by location.
