Tulsa, Okla. – Lowrance®, a world-leader in fishing electronics since 1957, continued its domination of America’s tournament-fishing circuit as Lowrance user Steve Kennedy won the Bassmaster Elite tournament held June 2-5 at Arkansas’ Lake Dardanelle. Lowrance had good representation during the event with five boats in the Top 12. In addition to Kennedy, Lowrance Pro Mark Davis took second, Dean Rojas was fifth, Jamie Hartman finished sixth and Mike Iaconelli was tenth. Lowrance had six additional anglers in the top 20 including, Casey Ashley, Edwin Evers, Kelly Jordon, Rick Clunn, Clifford Pirch and Jacob Wheeler.
“After spending much of the tournament behind, I knew I had to do something different,” said Kennedy. “I used my chartplotter to find this small spot near a quarry and that made all the difference.”

The 48-year-old veteran made a 100-mile round trip each day to fish a small backwater just below the Ozark Dam on the Arkansas River. Kennedy won with a total weight of 63 pounds, 12 ounces, allowing him to take home the $100,000 prize. This is his third victory on the Bassmaster Elite Tour.

“We at Lowrance are very proud of helping anglers like Steve find those special fishing spots that lead to victory,” said Leif Ottosson, CEO, Navico. “Our 60 years of constant innovation have all been focused on helping anglers get the most out of their time on the water. Whether a long-time pro or a rookie, Lowrance will continue to play a key role in helping anglers win on the Bassmaster Elite Tour.”
