| Anybody having trouble with their universal sonar??? Mine worked good when i first got it now it won't even read below 30'. It sounds like the unit is not sending enough pings to get the readings, because if you listen too it there are some long pauses between the signals. Just curious becasue the unit is barely a year old and the sonar is going Kaput!

| Do you have it on in conjunction with your dash sonar? the two sonor signals maybe catching each other.. that would explain why its happening in deeper water.. my two sonars run fine independently until you hit deeper water... also, have you tried turning up the ping speed? you said it sound slow.. did you turn it up? have you tried a differnt unit to the Universal sonar ducer? |

| Tried different unit with the ducer an X-85 and a x-15 both with the same problems. Turned up the ping speed and that did not help. I had 2 units working on the same boat and I though interference so I turned the back one off, and that still did not help. If you listen to the ducer you can hear the tic-tic-tic-tic-tic then a pause...............tic-tic-tic-tic pause............... you can watch the screen read then it will stop and start again. I took it to the Minnkota dealer and he is calling Minnkota so i'm in a wait and see mode. The unit worked fine when I purchased it 05/06 but know there is a problem. |

| I'll keep you posted I was suppose to hear something yesterday but nothing, I'll be calling today to keep the fire lit. |

| Ok here is the deal. My dealer spoke to a Minn Kota rep and he stated it sounded like the ducer had a de-lamination problem which has occurred in a few of them. They are going to replace the ducer under warranty. I'm Happy about that. |
