Location: LaCrosse, WI | Len,
Thanks for the heads up. I'll be there for sure. Maybe this year we can get some more WF members to show up. The Mississippi isn't really all that bad. If you come over here in late October, you should catch a lot of fish (unless it's awful weather).
Maybe Greg and Dennis can find a place with fried chicken for Komo. Bring Rob too. |

| The pools for the tourney will be 8,9 and 10.Due to VHS live fish will have to be brought in at the Genoa launch by boat.If you are fishing 8 or 10 and do not want to lock thru fish must be Killed for transportation. This will be an honor system launch. To sign up go to Tuna's in Genoa.More details in a week.
Hope to see alot of you there.
Len

Whats up with a kill tournament on the Miss. I know about the VHS laws. No way should there be any type of kill tournaments in October. Not when all the big females are on the move If someone is fishing in Lacrosse are they just going to hit a big female on the head to kill it, just so they can weigh the fish in a tourney. I have fished tourneys for years but we do not need any type of kill tourney in the fall. Make them lock through. Period!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Every tournament held on the Miss when the temp is above 70 is a kill tournament. That being said, I don't think it would be much of an issue to require locking through to access other pools, and your point makes sense. We will run it by Len, and thanks for the suggestion. |

| I would rather not have any fish killed.Your point does make sense. If everyone would lock thru from the Genoa launch we would all be much happier, but some people that want to fish will want to go south.Hopefully most people will use the Genoa Launch.

Location: LaCrosse, WI | There were some pigs caught. The team that won, had 18.84 (somewhere around there) with the 4 fish limit. The second place team only had 2 fish but they were big ones. Their weight was somewhere in the 15's. They had one about 8-1/4 lb and another in that 7 lb range. There was another weight in the 15's and one in the 12's. There were only 15 teams, but there were some pretty good weights.
Len was taking pictures, maybe he'll post some of them. We caught plenty of decent Saugers and a few eyes, but waited for better eyes, which never showed up for us. I want to take this opportunity to personally thank Dave Koonce from BFISHN tackle for all of the donations. The amount of tackle I got pretty much paid for the entry.
The chile was great again, and there were free beers being bought like crazy. I think we got 3 or 4 free beers, and we only stayed for about an hour and a half after weigh in. There's nothing like gracious winners and good people.
This is a fun event, I strongly encourage everybody to attend next year. There are good fish and good times to be had. Thanks to everybody for putting this event on.

Location: Elgin, Illinois | Dennis and I were very disappointed that we had a scheduling conflict. I will not let that happen again! Congrats to all of the "winners"... |
