somewhere along the line it's all about Father's and son's just having fun and enjoying what we've been given!
No question that today was just that,
Storms moved through the Bays this morning with some pretty impressive thunder and lightning strikes along with much needed rain.
Playing those breaks in the weather we got on the waters about 10 AM this morning and began our late start to the day.
Water temps. still running at 62' to 64' along with light south winds and on/off rain showers and those rumbles of thunder through the morning into afternoon.
Father, Mike Palmer and son, Jacob "Jake" were a great team and we began our morning working the upper flats of the Bay doing what both of them love to do, that's cast!!!!!!
Using X-Raps, Shad-Raps along with pitching jigs tipping with both crawler/redtail chub combinations and using "Gulp" products wasn't long before having some action......
Storms moving through earlier probably didn't help out a lot but covering enough water knowing some "bites" should happen.
A combination bite again happened today with Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass and perch made for an OK day.
Hay fisherman it's going to improve each and everyday now so looking for a great fall.
