i dont know if its just me but i have a box i can fit in my glove compartment ... i throw it on the dash or dig it out almost every time out.   i have all my tackle in your typical soft sided bags and plastic boxes , have about 5 full of tackle but seldom take all of them along , usualy grab on bag of just what i think i can use for the day,,,  but then there is the junk box ,, i call it a cobble box ,, like  i said it fits in my glove box ..  it collects things i throw on my dash,, cranks a harness blows up after i bring a netted fish into the boat .. so beads hooks 3 way components a slip bobber or two , swivels ,, split shots  half empty packs of hooks or snaps,   just stuff  that i can seem to put away wile fishing as i must be in a big hurry ,,  a couple times a year or if there is some down time trolling i may put some of it back but by the end of the year i end up with a-lot of tackle in this junk box... pliers, gum,  you name it ,,, if it falls on the floor it goes in the cobble box... its great when i need something quick and dont wanna rummage threw my tackle bags and compartments but i think i could almost open a bait shop with all the jigs and stuff,,, you open a fresh 10 pack of stinger hooks and im sure 5 find there way into this box... am i a slob ? is this normal?  its nice to have though... sometimes i just grab my jigging gear and end up wishing i had some cranks along ,,,bam there they are... in my cobble box ?    i think it will take me 3 hours to sort threw it an put stuff back ,,, and i will this winter... is it just me? or is this normal?

Besides hooks, my guideware pockets collect a ton of stuff. One pocket is for old line/leaders. Another is for beads and blades. And by the end of the year the glove box/dash is full of goodies.HEHEHE

its the strangest thing,, its become a permanant fixture in my boat.. its this tupperware knock of that fits so well between my windshield and dash that even when its raining the stuff inside doesnt get wet...  ive had it for 3 years ,, its so bad that all my fishing buddys dont even ask me where to find something anymore they just go into my cobble box and re-rig.... i dont know what i would do without it .. it never slides off the dash , its clear so i can find things way in the corner on the bottom whatever...  i think they should build these into every boat... i gotta take some pics and pattn this thing...  what if one day i get a different boat.. i know it wont fit the same in my buddys 620 ... he has made me grab it and take it along on occasion... spare change for the soda machine , yup my buddy is diggin threw the cobble box again..

I have two cup holders in the back of the boat behind the seats. I keep my pliers in these cup holders...but eveything else seems to go in there too, inline weights, snap weights, beads, blades, hooks, plastics and so on. It's in a carpeted place in the back of the boat, so I stick my jigs in the carpet near this area. I don't like clutter in the boat and I hate leaving stuff laying out for the competition to see (got "burnt" in my younger days).

Usually when I get about a half dozen jigs stuck in the carpet on either side. I'll go through and try to put every thing away. I also like to fish barefoot on those hot summer days, so I'm pretty anal retentive about putting away hooks and cranks and anything else with sharp hooks.

I actually have a drawer organizer in my glove box. The organizer has a section that extends and fits lit tackle box and the snap weights perfect. This fits perfectly in my 1800 pro-v glove box and it fits so I have room for the precision trolling books and maps in the back and room for a flash light on the side. But anyways this becomes a huge catch all. We go to move and the lures get tossed in there, or change to a hot lure the other one gets tossed in the organizer. This ends up having to be cleaned out about 2-3 times a year. I don't use tackle boxes just lots of utility boxes for Plano, and put them in the storage compartments so it can take some time to put a lure away when the box is in the storage and to find the right box. But the big slots in the organizer get everything from beads to cranks.

Wow, that's way too organized for me, but a good idea. I have a glove box stuffed with gloves, release tools, two way radios, my spare cell phone, and alist of other stuff to be determined when I sell the rig...

saved by the glove box the last time out! was up fishing the river last weekend... the fishing pressure was heavy and the bite my buddy ran into on friday as fish were trickling down the river toward the lake had slowed.. the water was a bit dirty and the shiners at the bait shop were running a tad small............ all i grabbed was a bag of jigs some stinger hooks and a couple rods... we were boating a fish that day at about 1 every half hour with three guys in the boat... after digin out a small white mistertwister tail and sliding it on the jig before the shiner we ended up finnishing the 15 fish bag limmit in 1/3 the time...(dirty water) the fish were 95% males with the smallest kept about 14 inches and the largest 18 . just a bit more visible i guess the agressive fish found it easyer..put on a clinic for the rest of the boats ! saved by the box of trix again... found some sweet old WASP stingers with 1 reversed hook on the trebble too... anybody know of anyplace i can get these things yet... havent seen them for years and they work great!!!!!!!!! anyway good fishing  OH i forgot to add the fact that i wasnt even fishing in my boat! buddy picks me up i grabbed my bag of jigs and a couple rods and my buddy looks at me and at the cobble box on the work bench that i didnt go threw over the winter and told me to bring it along.... its getting to the point where they all are getting usta the thing and the goodies inside.... might be the only reason i get invited along? im thinking about leasing out my cobble box to anglers for the weekend ?  or building them... but a good cobble box can only be built with time and love.... i dont think i could make another  one if i tried... takes a long time...

Well.... Some of this and some of that... I keep two small Plano ProLatch boxes fully stocked with the usuall stuff... A spare slip bobber, some hooks of every kind, tube of super glue... two or three stinger hooks... "All" of the stuff you usually go through in a day of fishing... The big supply is left in the tackle bags or boxes.

The glove box has all of the misc. "stuff"... But, on the dash board of both consoles are the above box, pliers, scissors and four crankbaits (two each)... I always throw (make sure there are four) them up there because once I actually left the dock without the box I had loaded... I had four cranks from the day before... so I was able to fish and not make a 20 mile run back and forth to get some cranks. Two Walleye Divers (gold and Silver/black) and two clown rapalas are usually what I leave there...
