Location: El Paso, Illinois 61738 | The Illinois Walleye Trail conducted a Fall Classic Walleye Tournament on Sunday November 4, 2007 in Henry Illinois. Teams participated from Iowa, Wisconsin, and Indiana the weather was clear with 60 degree temps and water surface temps around 55 degrees. Water clarity was about 12 inches. Pockets of active fish were found all the way from Henry to the St. Bede flats with the biggest basket coming from the Henry area on cranks run behind leadcore.
Rick Parrott from Sparland and Mike Tatera from St. Charles won the tournament with a 6 fish limit scaling 12.59 pounds earning them a check for $1,550.00. Placing second from Spring Valley using jigs and minnows was the team of Mark Actis and Thom Majewski with a 6 fish limit weighng 11.78 pounds cashing $960.00. Mark and Thom also had the big fish honors with a Sauger weighing 3.64 pounds earning them another $260.00. Placing third from Ladd, Illinois was the father and son team of Tom Giachetto Jr and Tom Giachetto Sr. with 10.76 pounds and $750.00.
