I NEED SOME HELP FIGURING OUT WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD SPINNING ROD FOR PULLING N0. 5 OR NO.7 JOINTED SHAD RAPS. I'M USED TO USEING THE SHIMMANO COMPRE'S BUT HAVEN'T FOUND ONE THAT I LIKE YET. ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR ME ?

Expensive,high end rods are not necessary to do this job.Rod action,length and handle design and length are your priorities.Sensitivity is not.I use cheap Gander Mountain steelhead rods(8.5-9') but there are plenty of other options.There's no reason to spend more then $40 each.Toward spring many stores will have sales or bargains can be found at shows over the winter.
