Made my first run out on the ice tonight. All in all, it wasn't too bad. Only managed to keep the hooks in one fish, but it turned out to be a fat 24 inch male (made an awsome batch of poor mans lobster!)

I fished the first break south of Gladstone in 25 FOW. Had 4 inches of crystal clear ice. Fished between 4 and 5:45. Landed the 24 incher and lost 2 other good fish. Marked 6 or 7 other "Lookers." All three hits came on a #5 Clown Jigging Rap.

See ya on the ice.

Fished again tonight. Went 4 for 4 this trip. Had two dinks, a 16 incher, and a 20 incher. The 20 took a sucker on a tip-up, the other three all came on a glow perch Nils Master Jr. Shad. Didn't mark as many tonight, but the lookers were mostly biters. With the clear skies today, I had little action until sunset. Most of them came between 5 and 5:30 tonight.
