I got to attend my first NFC Championship game tonight........congrats to the NY Giants. The atmosphere at Lambeau was awesome and I don't remember feeling cold once even though the temperatures during the game were below zero.

The Giants deserved to win this one. The Packers, in my opinion, got beat in just about every category and had they taken advantage of a couple of breaks they still could have come out of it with a win.

Good luck to the Giants and their fans in the Super Bowl.

You're right Jerry. The better team won yesterday. St. Vinnie can only do so much, than it's up to mere mortals.

It was hard to watch, but yes, the Pack got beat, and deserved too. If Bush would have just fallen on the late fumble, perhaps a chance, but I am not sure, the Giants had more 3 and outs than a baseball game from my perspective.

It was a GREAT season, especially seeing how no one thought we would have made it this far. Will he be back? I sure hope so! He is so fun to watch. It sure looked like we had plenty of opportunities and there were a few questionable calls but for any Packer fan it was a one of the best seasons we could have witnessed!
Good Luck

The better prepared, and better coached, team won yesterday. Congrats to the Giants.

Frustrating game to watch. We try just a few running plays that go nowhere early in the game, and then abandon the run. Huh? All this talk of McCarthy being a run-first coach. Maybe the cold froze his brain. Looked like the same game plan as Chicago.

Where were Jones, and Jennings? It seemed like Favre was going to Driver, no matter what. And Robinson. He showed no confidence in Jennings and Jones. Course, they maybe were shrinking away in the cold. Hard to believe the Giants wounded secondary shut our receivers down.

When the opposing QB has all day to pass, he's going to make good throws. I would think that after the last 5 games, we proved that our front four cannot get to the QB at all. No change was made to try to get more pressure on Manning.

Favre did not play a good, smart game. Again, he tried to do too much, and it looked like the cold affected him.

Defensive secondary? Harris choked in a big game again! He should give up his probowl trip to a more deserving CB. If he goes against a guy that will be physical, he shows just how bad a cover corner he is. Again, no adjustments from the coaching staff to help out a badly overmatched Harris. Bush should be cut today! Fall on the ball, stupid!

Other than that, it was an exciting year. We should be better next year, and maybe we won't have to play in such miserable conditions. Not sure if Favre coming back is that big a deal, either. Love him dearly, but the loss just didn't seem to hurt him as much as when he was young and hungry.

I would not completely blame Harris, Manning had pretty much all the time in the world to pass, and played a very good game. The Packers need to some somebody to PRESSURE the quarterback. The sit back and hope teams cannot march all the way down field is not going to get many wins in the playoffs. That is the next step for the Pack, get some pressure on the quarterback and also work on the running game. With tough conditions, passing 5 yard versus 10 everytime is alot easier

Yeah...bummer. But it was quite a roll...huh?
... I'm a Vike fan since 1961... but it was always the Pack as my second favorite team.
I wonder if Bret will hang it up now? If he does... he goes out on top... in my book.

Not completely blaming Harris. As I said, the better coached team won.

We haven't generated a pass rush from our front 4 for how many games now? At least the last 6. But they just keep playing the same way, and don't decide to send a backer or two until it's too late.

I hope Brett doesn't hang it up, as I think he still plays at a very high level most of the time. But it is frustrating when he feels he has to do it all himself, and then throws a bonehead pass or three.

Maybe this will fester in these guys all the way until the playoffs next year!

The defense played just good enough to get us to overtime. The offense just never got anything going and even a few first downs could have made a difference. Good season.

My biggest complaint would be the lack of a rushing game......only 5 rushing plays the entire second half. And two of those rushing plays were for 7 and 11 yards. You can't give up on the run that easily. I know it wasn't going but there are times, especially under tough conditions, that you have to force the issue.

Now that the Packers are eliminated, who are you rooting for?

I have reasons to root for both teams. I would love to see the Patriots win out so the likes of Nick Bounticanni, Mercury Morris, and the other noisemakers from the 72' Dolphins could disappear forever. Yes I know they went undefeated but the Steelers of the 70's, the 49er's of the 80's, the Bears of '85, and the Cowboys of the 90's were far better teams.

On the other hand, I would love to see the underdog knock off the Pats, especially after Belicheat got caught filming signals more than once. And if I were betting the point spread in this one I'd take the Giants. They now own the record for the most consecutive road wins (10 straight).

Jerry you are right. This is a hard Super Bowl to root for a team. On one hand I want the under dog but on the other hand it would be cool to see the Pat finish out the year. Since neither of the teams I like are in it, one probably never will be (lions) I am looking at going with the Giants. Spread is 14 as of last night.

I'm pulling for the Giants. They knocked off the packers so i hope they go all the way! Im alittle selfish if a teams going to go undefeated and win the big show i want it to be the packers next year and not the patriots this year! Also i think the point spread is a joke the patriots beat the giants by 3 points weeks ago so i 'm thinking a good game like 27-24 giants and going down to last team to score!
