Location: Berlin | Hey guys and gals, just thought I would pass along some good info to you all. Hutch has created a ton of new color combinations that look to me to be geared towards the Illinois River. He just put up the pics on his site www.riverwalleyes.com
I am not associated with him in anyway only that I buy all my jigs from him because his are the best I have found. Just thought those who are fishing the FLW and MWC might be interested.

Location: LaCrosse, WI | With the amount of snow this year, you better get 1 oz jigs for as high as the water will probably be at Spring Valley in March/April. Looks like we'll be dodging refrigerators and floating animals. |

Location: Orland Park, IL | 1oz if your lucky. River is still a mess. The kankakee (illinois made up of kankakee and desplaines) river is full of ice blocks. A powerplant is release warm water to melt the ice. Locks will be opening and its all gonna flow down.
I am curious as to the impact on the fish base. Winter floods are not good. |

Here is a link to most (all?) of the stations on the Ill. River. Pick the Rock Island District, then the Illinois River basin, select the pool you want to look at, then pick what you want plotted. May want to play with a bit...

Location: Orland Park, IL | Lots of ice in ottawa. Morris ramp has hunters still going out. Didnt hear of anyone fishing.
Big Jims Bait Shop in Ottawa has some good info. 815-434-3921. Great bait. I buy all my minnows there. Called the other day. He's ice fishing for walleyes in tomahawk.
Those pinks, blues and firetigers are always pretty good. |
