| I am going to the dealer to order my new 1890T this week end read some threads about a shorter spash well. I have looked at some other 1890s and that would be something I would change. It looks like you would be so far away from the motor and be sitting on the live well in a tiller. I am putting a 90 suz on the back. has any one done a black cherry or cherry fox with red in the short section below the gunnel cap? would like to hear more about the spash well |

Location: Rhinelander | The 1890 now has a shorter splashwell, so that's been done for you. I have a midnight cherry interior, red top panel, midnight cherry to the bottom, and black running bottom, very nice looking rig. |

| I have the 2060t,it has the wide splashwell and is very comfortable to drive. That color combo sounds sharp. I know you will love the 1890, in my opinion Tuffy makes one of the best tillers on the market. |

hi buckshot,
this link has some preview pics of Jeff Hanson's 1890GT before it got rigged.
http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=34...
he's running it with a 90hp Merc, and reports it runs upper 30s loaded, 40mph if he's out by himself.
as a i'm sure if you gave him a call, he'd be happy to talk to you about it.

i know Quam's Motorsports carries both Tuffy boats and Suzuki motors, and that's who rigged Jeff Hanson's 1890T.

They'll also be at the Madison Fishing Expo this weekend with Tuffy boats on display, that'd be a good place to talk to someone about what you're looking for...and not too far of a drive for you.

Give us performance data rpms, motor hieght, etc..., maybe we could steer yah right |

| RPM'S tack said 5700. motor is mounted as low in the water as it can be. 90hp suz max RPM should be about 5600. I didn't hit the over rev limit but it had to close. I had two people and about 15gal of fuel and all my stuff in the boat. |

| I would raise 2 holes on the transom, that should give more speed and rpms, also if I recall Suzukis are geared lower than other motors, so you could possibly bump up a pitch, I bet a high 5 would be good on that boat
