Location: Lincolnshire, IL | I don't think there are any Ranger Cup incentives for the FLW Walleye Leagues, so I guess that the Mercury bonus is for the Ranger Cup participants would not be in play as well for the Walleye Leagues. I would guess that the Ranger boat Bonus could be considered somewhat of a Ranger Cup bonus without actually having to sign up for the Ranger Cup benefits/bonuses....I just re-read what I wrote and it sounds like rambling...just my thoughts I guess. |

| Why align with a single boat brand? Doesn't make any sense, if you are trying to sell engines, to limit incentives to only one boat brand. |

Location: Lincolnshire, IL | I don't think Mercury has just lined with one boat brand. This is only for Ranger owners participating in Ranger Cup. I interpret, through reading some of the PWT threads, that the intent may be to offer incentives to possibly anyone running a Mercury engine in the major tournaments. Lund owners, Triton owners, etc....Maybe that is just what I am reading into it....I'm not an insider and I don't know for sure...just guessing.

Maybe this is old news but on the Mercury Website, if I read it correctly, it looks like they are offering a $500 bonus to the winner of an FLW Walleye League event if they a running a Mercury powered boat. Did anyone else see this and did I read it correctly? |
