I watch a lot of fishing shows and over the last year a lot of the guys on tv have been useing flicker shad are they good and is there a better type of crankbait?

Flicker shads are a good to great bait. Depending on time of year and conditions others work as well or better. In the fall. for example bigger baits can be better.

Flickershads in hollywood have worked out pretty good for me. For river trolling, then have the noise and action I like, plus they are expendable, ie, easy on the pocketbook to lose than a old balsa firetiger. Great to test painting colors.

I've heard reports of the hooks pulling out on better than average fish.

Has anyone had that happen, or know if the problem has been addressed?
