I have a 2008 2060dw with a 250 pro xs . I have tried several props and not happy with the top end speed. On gps 59-60 is the top end, hole shot is great. If any one else has the same rig I would love to know what prop you are running and your preformance. Thanks

maurice, what's the tach reading, and what hole do you have the 250 mounted in? I'll dig around for you.

What props have you tried? What RPM's are you seeing with each? I expect that boat to be a mid 60+ performer We saw 63 from the Tuffy Factory 2060 with a 23 Tempest? The motor was the 250 XS. It wanted more, but we were at redline.

Anyway, I'm thinking maybe a 23 Rev4? Let me know, as I have one for sale.

I will check when i get home and see what hole we have it mounted on, its the one you told us to Steve. I have tried everything from a 17 to 23 and now I have a tempest 3 blad 19 which get me the correct rpms but not what it should have on top end. The 21 ran the same speed , but was about 3 thousand more rpms to go.

I have a 2060DS with a 225 Opti and I am running a High Five. Runs about 5600 rpm and about 56 to 58 mph gps. Great big water prop.

Something isn't right here. A 19 would cause the motor to way over rev. Same gear ratio as on the Global Opti's, and more power should result in a higher pitch required. Going from a 19 to a 21 shouldn't leave you 3,000 RPM short. Maybe 300 is what you meant? But I still find it hard to believe your not over revving with that 19.

Could it be there is a tach issue?

OK, let's start over. You have a 24 Tempest. And your top speed is 59-60 GPS. Fully trimmed out? What are your RPM's at this speed?
