| Got out on Pool 4 this week with my buddy Loren Waalkens.
As usual ... he is on 'em.
I would guess our best five fish would easily go over 30 lbs, with the biggest weighing in at 9.7 lbs on the old Rapala scale.
I will say this because I know he never would (the truly great ones never do). I have fished with, and against, alot of people on the Mississippi River, and I can say this with confidence; there is absolutely NO ONE that knows pool four of the Mississippi River, dam to dam, better that Loren Waalkens. Any time of year, any species, he is a true student of the river.

Location: Lake City MN | Zach my man, thanks for the kind words, sure enjoyed spending time on the water with you the other day, it was awesome. The past couple weeks have been nuts here, big eyes in the morning and big saugers the rest of the day, lots of fun. Will try to post pics from my last few outings, many happy clients. You may have to sneak up my way again a day this next week, you always have a seat in my boat...
