| I was wondering how you guys handle trash in the boat. Do you leave a bag on the floor? Plastic bucket, etc.
I fish with several guys and between candy bar wrappers, pop/beer cans, cig butts etc e generate a lot of garbage in a day.
In my old lund I had a 5 gallon bucket under the casting deck. Got a new boat and was looking for something different.
I know its not a sexy topic but I like to keep a clean boat and not litter.

| I put all garbage in the cooler, Then I have to clean it out when I get home. I hate a dirty, cluttery boat, too. | |

| I have a friend who normally puts all his trash in his extra livewell. I would not recommend this as it plugs everything up especially when wrappers get wet. I just tie a small bag to a grab bar. | |

| Had a 48 qt. cooler in the last boat that got the empty cans, bottles, bags and wrappers tossed in as the new ones were pulled out. End of the day, just pull the cooler out and dump it's contents in a garbage can or recycling bin. Once in a while you just have to pick up all the line schnibbles from retying and wash out the blood, scales and slime. I never worried about having a neat boat, I only worried about catching fish. Besides when you have friends that lose their chewing tobacco and potato chips in the wind how neat can a boat stay?
Back in the good old days when I was fishing a lot more than now, I always had a ball of lures in a corner or maybe two if it was really intense, then about once a month I'd pick the lures out and toss them back in the correct box. I always figured the time for housekeeping was when you were at the house, not the lake. It was fun seeing what lures were in the corner, Spoonbill Rebels, flutter spoons, Raps, J-plugs, Suicks, spinnerbaits, Little Cleos, Swim Whizzes, Big-O's, Daredevils, you just never knew what you'd find. Funny thing was back then I caught a LOT more fish. Being neat and catching fish do not go hand in hand from my experiences. Time on the water and knowlege catch fish, not a neat boat. Not that a neat boat hinders you, but wasting time on the lake worryiing about one will.

Location: Berlin Wi | Not being to good on my feet and often fishning at night, I have a fetish about keeping the boat floor klean. To keep trash organized , I have added a small plastic trash can to the right side under the steering wheel area. A small S hook attached to a string from above and placed through a hole in the rim keeps it in place. Works good as long as I rember to empty it.
