Kirchhoff Distributing Company Walleye Challenge

After juggling with the tournament location at the last minute (Comanche, IA. flooded) and thru the cooperation of the Iowa & Wisconsin DNR’s the Walleye Angler’s Trail hosted the Kirchhoff Distributing Tournament at Lansing, Iowa on May 4, 2008.

# of fish to scale: 86
Total weight of fish: 232.45
Average weight: 2.70
Big Fish: 9 lbs.
The team of Kevin Withey, LaCrosse, WI. & Ed Egstad, Prarie du Chien, WI. took the 1st. place trophy and a check for $1,410 in impressive fashion by bringing in a huge basket (5 fish) weighing in at 29.55 lbs. Kevin & Ed also earned the “Big Fish” award ($480) for a 9 pound whopper.
Second place with a check for $710 went to the team of Jerry Boardman, DeSoto, WI. & Gary Schreiner, Rock Falls, IL. with a total of 22.65 lbs.
Third place with a check for $360 went to the team of Galen Bremmer, Avoca, WI. & Rick Bryson, Arcadia, WI. with a total of 16.80 lbs.
Fourth thru seventh place with checks for $260 went to the following:
Tom Millenkamp, Sherrill, IA & Brian Morris, Davenport, IA. 16.65 lbs.
Tim & Ben Ahrens, Waterloo, IA. 15.40 ibs.
