| I just bought an aluminum Crestliner - 17 feet, 7". Will the Minn Kota engine mount work well that size boat?
Also, how long are the wire leads? The trolling motor battery is way up front by the bowmount.

| Hi Randy
The unit I had just sold pending payment. I might have a second one at my Michigian house. I will be going up there in mid. June and can let you know if I do. Also if the the sale of this one falls throught I can let you know.
The unit has 54 pounds of thrust on the box it says for boats up to 21 feet. In the past I have used them on my 20 foot boats and they worked great. The reason I used them on my 20 footer is then I could run it to my back batteries and have the front batteries just for my bow mount.
Most boat have a pre wired plug in the back for a rear mount trolling motor yours might have that if it does you can use this for your wires if not its pretty easy to run a couple leads to the front batteries.
Thanks
