Location: Stevens Point, WI | "Rough" was the word of the day by the anglers fishing tournament #2 in the FLW League Michigan division Saturday. With only a little more than half of 100 boat field in participation today, it seemed that the weather didn't stop the anglers from catching there fish.
Chris Chesney and co-angler Gene Witt took home first place with a weight of 21lbs. 12oz. and a combined check for $6275 for the win. Almost all anglers were doing one of two things, trolling crankbaits or pulling crawler harnesses in 14-21ft of water. Anglers also noted that the larger fish were nonexistent today unlike during there practice periods where many anglers said fish up to 11lbs. were present.
Jonathan Rohde and Matthew Buck netted 21lbs. 6oz. to claim second place and a combined check for $2888. Third place went to Keith Strauss and Robert North with a weight of 20lbs. 9oz. and a combined check $2250.
Dan Boileau and Jay Gordert claimed fourth place with a weight of 20lbs. 5oz. While Andrew Miller and Terry Krampe nabbed fifth place with 20lbs. 3oz. to round out the top five.
Congratulations to Mike Eiden who was the top placing angler driving a 07' or newer Toyota Tundra. Mike claimed a $1000 check in doing so.
