I was wondering if Tuffy is going to do a GTG this year? If so I would like to plan for it.

Was kinda planning on it......Little early yet......Everyone is helter-skelter. Zach is trying to promote Lacrosse. Makes sense with the area for lodging on the river with slips. I'm sure we will get organized within the next few months.

LaCrosse is a nice central location with lots of good walleye fishing, but not much opportunity to fish for muskies over there. it'd be nice if it were held somewhere with good chances to fish for both species.

Let's try to keep an open mind, Mike! Be good for you to give the ski's a break. You should have been there last year for the muskies. Besides, this isn't about fishing anyway. It's about betting on when Stacker is going to tip over!

i couldn't come last year due to a conflict with a tournament. i'd like to come this year.
i assume Tuffy'd like as many people to come as possible.
i'm just saying that they'd probably get interest from the most people if it were located somewhere that offered the opportunity for quality fishing for both species. Tuffy's got a pretty solid core owners who are die-hard muskie anglers...

You're not stating any new info here, Mike. I've been in Tuffy's since 91. You? I don't need a lesson on who fishes for what fish. Fact is, the GTG was on musky water last year, and more eye guys showed than musky guys. Way more.

Not to make this into a fight between musky and eye guys. I know it was tough to schedule the GTG last year. And they did say they would be moving it around. If it's Lacrosse, great. If not, then great, too.

Guys, there are alot of things that need to be factored into where we hold the GTG's. Accommodations for large groups, water access and dockage, facility setup and layout for boat display, location, availability, cost, proximity to dealers etc all come into play. Ease of prospective Tuffy Owners to come in for a test drive of all the different models. We will always try to choose locations that have excellent fishing, but requiring it to be a musky lake would really limit us geographically. We will be moving this thing around but will come back to places that were considered popular. No decision has been made for this year, we are still in the planning stages.

As far as dates are concerned, how does Oct 11-12 sit with everyone? Feedback please.

It seems as if someone is forgetting the tin boat sabbatical in their past.

I am on Lambeau's side as far as location, but also sympathize with Zach on logistics. Wherever it may be, I know I will be musky fishing on said weekend!

4 years out of the last 17. Just the sabbatical I needed, Norm! And I know you haven't forgotten your tin boat! Mine was faster then, too!

Sure, you get your jacket, and now there is no incentive for you to attend! hehehe

Me like the way Mud Duck thinks.....but maybe a bit further away from home would be good too.

If there is a chance at musky wherever the gtg is Shep, I will be there. After all, I think I fished for a whole hour and a half at the last one. I know I spent more time in the bar with you than I did fishing!

The part I like Norm, was when you said that you were going to this spot, and you pointed to the map and I am going to get a big one and be right back, AND YOU DID IT!!! some thing about being thirsty, that was cool.

Lacrosse would be good. just like last year, aint gonna please everyone.

Let's see, last year I thought it would be a family thing and we were trying to get something in August where the kids are not in school yet. I believe the planning was a little too late for that last year and we went when we did. Still a great time. However, last years thought process was that our wives and significant others put up with us being gone to tourneys all year so it would be nice to include the family so other tourney widows can chat and justify their feelings while we are out on the water. LOL! I would have a problem with October due to being in a refueling outage at that time. However, I do still have a few sick days left. Whatever you guys come up with will sure to please those that can attend. If you guys need any logistic help, let me know what I can do.
