Location: Stevens Point, WI | Twenty pros and co-anglers left Stony Point Resort this morning at exactly 6:30am with optimism and spirits running high. Conditions are looking to be ideal; leader Carl Adam Jr. said he will be hitting a lot of different spots and checking the entire water column for moving fish. One thing about fish on Cass Lake, they are always on the move, so moving up and down within the water column has been key for all the top ten.
Pete Harsh, one of four Mercury pros to make the final cut said, "I'm never confident. This is walleye fishing, I'm just going to go out and do the best I can."
Conditions today look good with winds 10-20mph out of the west and 20-30% chance of precipitation throughout the day. Temps at take-off time were 54 degrees, reaching high 60's by the 4:30pm weigh-in at the Bemidji Wal-Mart.
Stay tuned for the live leaderboard audio from the weigh-in this afternoon.

Location: Rhinelander | The almost inevitable daily Spring of 2008 nasty weather held off until after the final day weigh in, but the winds did blow enough to kick the Cass Lake 'rigging bite' into high gear.
Scott Steil weighed his basket as a crowd of 200 plus watched, placing 5 good fish on the scale. Carl Adams Jr. had a great basket at 15.25 pounds by Days One through Three standards, one that should have taken the win home... but Scott's weight at 18.06 pounds was too much to overcome, giving Mr. Steil the win by over 2 pounds.
Scott met all the requirements for Contingencies, and as a result took home $100,000.00. Both anglers were rigging with live bait.
Kevin Bruer took Co Angler honors, and a check for $10,000.00.
Chris Gilman took home the Toyota Trucks Walleye Angler Rewards check with his eighth place finish, pulling home his Ranger with his Toyota Tundra $2000.00 richer as a result.
Watch for a final day wrap up here Sunday !

Location: LaCrosse, WI | Scott is a great guy who definately deserves the win. He's been right there a number of times, it's good to see him come in on the final day with a bag big enough to put him over the top. Great finish to a great stick and a great guy. | |

| Thanks guys, it is nice to finally finish on top. I am really looking forward to Bay de Noc and taking a run at Angler of the Year. It is definetly and uphill battle but I will give it everything I have. Thanks again for the kind works.
Also thanks to everyone at Walleyefirst for their excellent coverage at all the events!
