I just bought a 2008 Skeeter wx 1880 with a Yamaha 150 four stroke. Was wondering if anyone here has the same boat, and what prop they are running, and what speed they are getting.Mine came with a 19 pitch and will go over the 6000 max RPM.Any suggestions.I was thinking of trying a 21 pitch prop.

Well i bought an 08 1880 with a 200hpdi and if i trim here out full gas and tourney load it runs 5800 which according to the book is to high so i have been backing it off and running 5500 i have a 21 pitch on mine and am thinking of moving up to a 23. i can't seem to get consistent answer out of anybody one guy says 5800 is perfect the next tech says run it at 5500.

You can go to the Yamaha web site and look up the specs on your boat and motor set up to find the rated RPM range. On my 250 HPDI I think it was around 5500...
That information should also have come in the owners manual with the boat???

Hope this helps!

On yamaha's site they ran an 07 21 pitch at 5800 even though the book say 5500, i ran a 4 blade solas 19 pitch this weekend and wasn't impressed but my rpms were at 5300 but my speed was about 53, while with the factory 21 i am running 54.5 with tourney load and full gas and wells.
