Location: Manitowoc, WI | I posted this on the other thread. I really do not care where but the timing is going to be critical for me this year due to working long hours with only 1 day off starting the last week of September.
Let's see, last year I thought it would be a family thing and we were trying to get something in August where the kids are not in school yet. I believe the planning was a little too late for that last year and we went when we did. Still a great time. However, last years thought process was that our wives and significant others put up with us being gone to tourneys all year so it would be nice to include the family so other tourney widows can chat and justify their feelings while we are out on the water. LOL! (Insert frying pan to head here) I would have a problem with October due to being in a refueling outage at that time. However, I do still have a few sick days left. Whatever you guys come up with will sure to please those that can attend. If you guys need any logistic help, let me know what I can do.

| here's some ideas off the top of my head; i'm not guaranteeing they're good ideas, just ideas...
Green Bay?
+ = accesssible location, trophy fall fishery for both species, both big water (bay) and small water (river)
- = urban setting, not very much like a "vacation" spot, limited on-the-water lodging
Green Lake?
+ = central location, decent multi-species fishery, including lake trout; resort "feel"
- = vacationland so might be more pricey?
Chippewa Falls/Wissota?
+ = central/west location, decent fishery for muskies and walleyes (i think it's got a slot limit?), Leinenkugel's
- = reputation as hot/cold fishing
Lake Tomahawk?
+ = trophy potential, good variety of resorts/lodging to choose from
- = slightly further north, may be unfamiliar water
i'm saving a personal day for the GTG this year so i can come up Thursday night!

| I loved last years location. The accomodations were very nice, the lake offered a nice mix in fishery, and there was even one dumb musky in there that found my bait.
I really don't have a favorite area, my only hope that wherever it is has a musky or two. How about Mille Lacs or Tonka? Too far? Too Minnesota?
Maybe the Boulder Junction area, I know there is a dealer up there, and lots of lakes to chose from.
Finding a resort to accomodate everything as well as last year's did will be tough I'm sure, I will be happy as long as there is a shot at a musky in the local waters. |

| I guess when I look at the get together, there are some key components needed.
1. A place/area that has ample room for Tuffy owners to hang out during the day/night to talk fishing, boats, politics, whatever.
2. A place/area to have boats on the water to allow for test drives. I enjoyed driving a few Tuffys other than my own.
3. A place/area with a banquet style room to allow for the Saturday night meal/presentation.
4. A place/area to accomodate those that want to fish, preferably multi-species.
With that being said, I too thought last year's location was good. Wouldn't mind a change in location. I'm always looking for an excuse to go to Green Bay, not sure what is available lodging wise to fit our needs? Lake Tomahawk sounds interesting. I really don't have a strong preference as far as a specific location. Time wise, I would prefer late Sept. the 20th, or 27th. Let me know if you want me to check out anything up in my neck of the woods. |

| Thanks for including me on the list, but unless it's on Lake Michigan, out of Racine, Kenosha, or Waukegan Harbors, I'm a no. Don't have the vacation time or $$$ to drive anywhere these days. |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | I would like to hear from the musky dudes on a lake that is south of the highway 29 line. That should be a mid stripe of the state. Nice to go up north but you are missing many owners. The winnebago area is a big area of owners. keep it within 2 hours of them and they will come.
I would not have a problem with GB if it was after the 15th of sept. or so. The walleyes will be in the river and the sharks will be behind them. However, a smaller lake system like wissota may be good as well.

| It will depend on where it's at and how busy we are at thestore.lacrosse is easy for me to make so if it was there i'd be there for sure. |

| There is a new facility on the Castle Rock called Northern Bay Resort......This facilty could handle our group. www.northernbayresort.com. I do not know the fishery? Thoughts.
Also, I like the end of September idea. Badgers are at Michigan September 27th which is good, won't miss a home game. October, heading to Wyoming for a few weeks. Thoughts. |

You all need a real team, V-ball and F-ball
If this thing gets figured out early enough I would like to try to make it up north for this deal. Anywhere you guys choose will be a long ways from home for me so I just vote for the best bite ![](https://walleye.outdoorsfirst.com/board/images/emoticons/wink.gif) |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | I really liked last years location. Guys caught walleyes and Norm even stuck a dandy musky. They really had everything needed for a great GTG. The campfire Friday night was definitely an enjoyment.
I do like Lambeau's suggestion about Lake Tomahawk. Big muskies, big walleyes and close to Minocqua if the families are coming. |

Does he have any idea what he might get himself into? LOL. He may change you into a musky fisherman if he catches one! |

That's a good fish, but that's not a 45 inch Musky or Pike. Wait till he catches one even larger, that will really get him going. |

If I am there, Mitch can have the front deck in my boat for a while. |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | I like that location. It is centrally located on waters that are fishable virtually everyday and they have a population of fish. The walleyes can be good at that time of the year and the esox are always growling. I think many more owners will make the day trip or two and it will be beneficial to all.
Thanks Why Knot

Location: Manitowoc, WI | Hey Steve, are you guys close to making a decision on place and date yet? Would like to try and make plans well enough in advance to see if I will be able to make it. Thanks! |

| I would suggest Red Wing at Treasure Island Casino. Great fall fishing, reasonable rooms, banquet halls, a nice place with docking easy to take test drives, and centrally located for both North and South fishermen. I've attended many wholesaler shows there and it works really great. I'm not a gambler, but if your into that thing it's a good way to keep the wives happy at minimum. Just my 2 cents.
Another nice location would be the Rice Lake chain of lakes. There are tons of resorts, camping, and other accomodations to really make a nice event. The lakes are very wide open for test drives and plenty of room for everyone in a more "northern" setting.
Just a couple of ideas- Jigemup |

Location: Manitowoc, WI | Treasure Island is a nice place to stay. I stayed there for 2 months on business. I did not have my boat so I couldn't say what the body of water is like. I'm not so sure the "Northern Setting" is a factor. Being able to accommodate walleye guys and muskie guys and being able to have the facilities for enough boats to dock and provide test rides for potential customers is important. |

| It will either be Sept 19-21 or Oct 3-5 we are waiting until next week to see what shakes out with a couple of things.
Location will most likely be Lake Holcombe, 45 miles n/ne of Eau Claire, WI. We will provide full details next week.
