Anyone else having problems getting the Cabelas brand shads (deep diving) to swim straight?  I tried 12-15 different shads on both fireline and mono with different snaps (snaps that worked with other lures) and I could not get any of them to swim straight. Even after adjusting them, they all swam to the side and looped to the surface, even at lower speeds.

For me, they are way more sensitive to Tuning. On average it takes many times longer to get the Cabelas running straight compared to a Rapala Shad Rap. I bought about 20 of them and so far only 1 or 2 have come out of the package running true. Overall I like them (mostly because of price), but they do seem to run a little crazy compared to Rapalas and are very speed sensitive.

That being said.... They DO catch fish though!

Been there, bargain bin lures don't work. Rapala is the best out of the box. I've used alot of lures here on Lake of the Woods, but when I have 6 people whatching me tune a lure, I throw it and grab a new Rapala. Reef runners are catchers too, but one fish and time to toon in.
