Only negative to my Canada trip was the rubber tire bumpers rubbing against the side of the boat while at the dock. Black streaks on the 'glass and "Esox" sticker.
Any ideas on how to get that off?

easy, rubbing compound. 1200 gritt wet sand lightly. (hand buff off with fine wax) if you see little scratchs wet sand with 2000 then buff with fine wax..
stay away from the decals with the sand paper. i would use just wax on them. and alot of elbow greese
Or you can probebly just use wax on the whole deal and alot of elbow greese.. it should take it off..

I would highly suggest against that. Using WD-40 on any finish is not wise. I know on a cars finish it will cause fish eyes. I would definitely not use it on a fiberglass finish.

the clear coat is extremely thick. wet sanding will be the answer.. its quick and easy. once you have some sand paper you will get addicted to making your boat look like a million bucks. if you buff out 2000 grill it WILL look better then new.. same applys to trucks with scratchs..
or like a said befor.. plain rubbing compound or wax will be fine.. if you see scratchs from the wax or rubbing compound you can wet sand the small scratchs out with 2000 gritt and lightly buff..

Sorry TJ, I guess I should have been more specific. Spray a little WD-40 on a soft rag, remove the scuffs. Then clean the glass as you would normally. It worked great on the identical problem on my Ranger with no adverse affects to the finish.

Don't sand the decal or use rubbing compound on it. Use a glass cleaner or similar product, or dish detergent on a rag. Don't use a 'scrubby' or your decal will be toast.

I've use WD-40 to remove black marks from many boats, both glass and aluminum, and never had a problem. Decals are another story, as Steve says. The good thing is, decals can be replaced if they get too bad.

heat gun wil remove any decal.........peels right off
