In the morning, it was a little cool with light winds. The sun shined most of the day with a couple short light showers during the weigh-in. The sun shined for the awards presentations.
The team of Steve Gosha and Chad Weber took first place with a four fish limit weighing 32.60# winning them $3,200. Second place went to the team of Greg Josephs and Jim Peterson with four fish totaling 31.72# for $1,700. Third place went to the team of Jim Pyle and Doug Schultz with four fish weighing 31.58# for $1,000. Jim and Doug also had the big fish of the tournament weighing 11.00# winning them two plaques donated by All Sport and Trophy, $100 in Gift certificates from Mack’s Lures, a hand held GPS donated by Marine General, and some Ka Boom lures. Fourth place went to the team of John Clumpner and Scott Ristow with four fish totaling 29.74# for $850. Fifth place went to the team of Joe and Michelle Mans with four fish weighing 29.24# for $700.
The Lamiglas Rod and Wave Spin reel award went to the team of the Chad Burns and Steve Daute being the first team out of the money.
The Stowmaster Net and Lakemaster award went the team of Steve Paulsen and Jed Comyne the second out of the money team.
The Sportsman’s Warehouse award went top the team of John Omelina and Pat Hopkins third out of the money team.
The 2008 Team of the year is Brendan Uitenbroek and Melaina Uitenbroek. They are also 2008 Sibling Team of the Year.
The 2008 Parent/Child Team of the year is Jeff Hartmann and Richard Hartmann.
The 2008 Husband/Wife Team of the year is Ron and Vickie Goldapske.
Forty-five teams weighed limits of four fish. Total fish weighed was 210 fish for a total weight of 1117.42#
