| Dom, How are you going to get through the fall without a boat?
No BDN 'fix' this year? |

What are you looking at for new boats?

| I'm still getting over the emotional shock of seeing my Purple Skeeter head to Minnesota... I had 5 guys from there that were all interested in buying my boat.
For now, I'll keep working on the plans for my lake house and dream of pushing my boat 1/2 mile over the dam sand bars at 2am in the morning in 30 degree weather... all in the pursuit of another 30 inch Walleye.
And.. I get to fish off my dock.... my lake lot is right on Sunset Point on Butte Des Morts. I was down there 2 nights ago watching the sun go down and my neighbor caught a 15" walleye! So for now, I'll be living through all the Walleye Firsters.. so keep those reports comining.
I just hope my back lot will produce a few crawlers... its all black soil, loose and it looks like championship hunting grounds.
Dominic

Headed to MN, what part of the MN might I see that Skeeter? |

| PS, give e shout anytime, and you got a seat in my boat!
I was born in a house on Sunset Bay! I really don't remember much about that, though. Congrats on the new house/lot!

| Shep's getting old. I think he meant to say, "I watched porn in a house on Sunset Bay".
That's a sweet spot to live. Right in the middle of it all. You do realize you are now forced to organize a WF "first ice" bluegill tournament, however.

| That is a decent hike out to the lake. PS could get half his gas money for the new boat by charging a launch fee. |

| If your lot is where I think it is, everyone fishes right in front of it. Gas augers roaring all day starting at 4:30 am, music blaring, and by the afternoon there will be drunk guys knocking on your door asking to use your bathroom. Just kidding, it's not that bad. All the lazy guys fish on he other side at SB's (shorter walk), so you get more real men like Viking out there at Sunset. (No offense to lazy guys, drunk guys, or drunk lazy guys intended)
It's only a 1/2 mile from the head of the trail to fish, so it's not too bad. The ice is fine off the point. I had to retrieve my shack once from near the point (blew down there from Sand Pit). I wasn't sure how the ice would be so I took my snowmobile and an auger. The ice was nearly the same thickness by the point as it was elsewhere. |

| I'm thinking I need a 40 foot dock to get out to where I troll... so I can set up 2 cane poles and 1 line counter with a board on it to drift out into the current!
BTY.... I'm in the dead center of the point. I was out on Saturday cutting trees... had a blast sitting on the shore watching the ducks get blasted from the sky. After an hour or so, I had 8 Mallards on my shoreline just sitting there. How do they know the difference between a shovel and a shotgun??
