Given the recent flurry of posts by a certain negative guest I thought I'd share something that I think is pretty cool.

With both of my boys in school this fall, my wife and I have made Wednesday afternoons into a standing fishing date. That's right, every Wednesday afternoon I skip out of work early and my wife and go fishing together. Fishing has been kinda tough on Bago but today we did OK with the Mrs. catching her first walleye ever. Even without a lot of action, it is pretty cool to spend some quality time with my wife w/o having the kids butting in every five minutes. How lucky am I?

Oh yea, rigging with a 5'-6' snell and a chunk of crawler on top of the reefs has been taking the few fish we can find.

Sue and I fish Muskie league every Tuesday all summer, sort of the same deal, and it's great. I'd say we both are pretty lucky!

I can remember when I took my 8 year old daughter out on the lake. We did well, and afterwards, she decided to call her mother. Well her Mom said, "How did you do fishing"?. Her response was, Me and Dad got a lmit! It took me several years to accomplish this, and here she is telling her mother that it was no big deal. It was awesome non the less. She still can out fish half the people I take out on a daily basis, and now that she is 17 years old, dad is not cool enough to fish with anymore..boys took over!

Very nice indeed. You guys are very lucky. Treasure the memories.

I was helping the boy with spelling the other night. Teacher suggested I add a few words. So I did. Winnebago, walleye, thunderstick, locator, and yamaha. Teacher was very happy with the homework.
