Location: Stevens Point, WI | Day 1 of the PWT Lowrance/Optima pro-am on the St. Croix River got underway with brisk temps and much uncertainty to whether the fish will cooperate. Eighty four pros and co-anglers took to the river for the last Professional Walleye Trail event ever in hopes of qualifying for the one day shoot-out championship on Saturday.
Fall like temperatures finally seem to be arriving, however, with unseasonably high water temps still hovering in the mid to high 60's, fish location is making things difficult for guys to nail down a solid pattern.
"One day we pull twenty pounds, and the next day we catch one fish," said Mercury pro Chase Parsons.
Weather looks to be stabil for the next few days with highs in the mid 50's and partly cloudy throughout. Stay tuned for a live webcast starting around 3:30.

| Videos are terrific.
Will there be live weigh-in video today?
Also, how was the mood of the anglers? In the videos they seemed a bit sad. Is there a good buzz about AIM? |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | Yes, the live broadcast will begin sometime around 3:30-4, weigh-in officially starts at 4pm so sometime right around that time.
The mood of the anglers seems about the same as any other tournament. I think a majority of guys are unsure of how the bite was going to go but all were going out to fish. As for them being sad, yeah, I think their all a bit sad, especially for the ones who have been in the game for numerous years, however, as you heard from Mark Martin in his interview, the future looks good and AIM will step it up next year. |

| I'm pulling for AIM to really deliver in a big way. It sure will be cool to have two major series again with one owned by the anglers and one owned by a fishing tournament company.
It should be an exciting 2009.
BTW - Who are you picking to win this event and the One Day PWT Championship? |
