The black works the best if i go to a pink/white or lighter color we get Crappie. We also use the Black Reaper tails the same way. This is our go to method fishing walleye in the weeds at night in early to mid summer. Good luck! I've fished Walleyes after dark pitching yellow creatures with really good success since the 70's.
